Nika Designs & PaperArts (NDPA) has made a personal commitment to provide Products7_sml.jpgcustomer-service excellence. As part of that mission, we will endeavour to keep pace with the ever-changing paper arts industry and each month or so, we will try to introduce exciting new product lines.

NDPA will stay close to it’s rubber stamping roots, including honouring the products and techniques
introduced by the previous owner, Mimi. One of the reasons why I use the word, paperarts, is because I like to avoid classifying myself as just a rubber stamper, or just a scrapbooker. There haven’t been very many scrapbooking products made that I don’t absolutely need to have in my studio. Yet I also love the versatility that stamping provides. So my feeling really is that there’s plenty of room for all of us, and I’m sure we’ll continue to learn and borrow from each creative venue.

Watch for upcoming Nika Designs own line of rubber stamps:

Based on my 16 years experience as rubber stamper, I know what stamps get used/stay in use/ and what stamps end up sitting on the shelf—this is what is driving me to create my own line of stamps (something I’ve been longing to do for years).. My goal is to have my own stamps for sale and be available for purchase online soon.

Why shop in a tiny little village, in a small store like Nika Designs and Paper Arts?

Let me give you a few reasons:

  • If you see any item on a shelf with which you are not familiar, just ask and I’ll gladly Products2_sml.jpgprovide a quick product demo, or at the very least, a concrete example of how/or what the product is used for. You certainly don’t get that kind of service at a BB (big box) store – the ability to try what you buy before spending hard earned money.
  • If you see a product online that you are interested in trying, NDPA can assist you and provide advice. If the item seems viable, I will do my best to bring it in. Most of the bb stores will not do that. An example of this is that the Sizzix product line for Canada has not changed in the last three years at the BB stores in Ottawa and Kingston.
  • Lower prices. My overhead is minimal, so I can keep my costs low. My prices are as low as they can be. Do you ever wonder why the Products6_sml.jpgbb stores are not cheaper? Granted, they DO have sales, but often you miss them, products advertised for sale, sell out too quickly, etc. I was just visiting a BB store last evening, and even at the sale price (30% off), my regular every day prices are for the most part better.. (IE Brilliance Ink Pad for 13.99$ at BB store, at 30% off, price is 9.79$ - my regular every day price is 9.59$.)
  • If you see a local store carrying the same product that I do, at a lower price PLEASE tell me, so that I can re-evaluate my pricing. I pledge to provide my customers the best value for their hard-earned dollar.
